My nutritional journey


I was that weird child that would ask for OJ instead of candy and make my chocolate last for weeks. I made sure we had a variety of food types served for balanced nutrition. On one occasion my mom thought it would be fun to “have dessert for dinner” and took me out for banana splits, I promptly started cooking dinner when we arrived home, scolding her the entire time about how important it is to eat “real food” and not just junk! I had a lot of digestive distress, so often times I was either in pain from or restricted from eating certain types of foods.


Of course as a teen I binged on Dominoes  pizzas and diet pepsis, McDonalds, Taco Bell, and ice cream just like most of us raised in the US. Thankfully digestive distress put a stop to this! When I was pregnant with each of my children I made charts of the food types and checked things off as I ate to assure I was getting nutrient balance. As an adult I ate intuitively, but avoided a lot of foods because of digestion issues. 


I always had a good understanding of nutrition, I can’t remember ever not knowing how to understand a nutrition label. I was inspired to help others gain a better understanding of how to be healthy and went back to college to study health and wellness. I finished with a bachelors of science in dietetics and food science, and wound up halfway through an exercise physiology degree as well. I wound up taking a lot of psychology and sociology, aiming for a well rounded foundation for teaching holistic health. The interesting thing about studying wellness was that I realized that we weren’t being taught wellness. We were being taught to tell people to eat in ways that were not biologically advantageous. We were being taught to regurgitate What the “FDA recommendations“ were. These recommendations are based on big food corporations and commodities. I caught on pretty quickly that all the dietary guidelines were politically influenced, advice that was not at all what was healthiest for the human body, and even harmful. The USDA has only one priority, money. 

Being strongly intuitive, this was so conflicting to me. I went back to school to help people, not feed illnesses. 


I wound up working in community health and wellness and pursuing a PhD in integrative and functional nutrition. In my work, I could apply real healing modalities into my practice. When I started studying nutrition, I was inspired to help real people have real tools to be healthy, especially for those who do not have a natural interest in health and wellness. My grandmother died when I was 16 due to lifestyle chronic disease. I was very close with my grandmother and would have dreams that I went back in time to help her have healthier lifestyle habits in her later years (she was pretty healthy before retirement age). In my work in community health and wellness, I was inspired to inspire…. I was here to save all the grammas! 


In my work I was very effective, even with those who had seen other nutrition professionals with no success. Because intuition has always been my super power, I never really thought that it was helping me help others. Until 2020. The time of the earth ascending, the world changing, and I  was not able to turn off the psychic messages. The higher selves and ancestors of my clients were speaking through me to them, and I became aware of what was happening. This partnership helped me to help others much more effectively. This is why I call myself an intuitive nutritionist, by being tuned in and open to receiving messages I am better able to give the most individualized advice.
